Beam - Escooter sharing

For Riders: Download the Beam App: Start by downloading the Beam app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Alternatively, you can visit the Beam website to sign up for an account or check for city availability. Create an Account or Log In: If you’re a new user, sign up by entering your email address, phone number, and creating a password. If you already have an account, simply log in using your email and password to access your account settings, payment information, and ride history. Locate Nearby Scooters: Once you’re logged in, use the map feature in the app to find the nearest available Beam scooters. The map will show the location of scooters available for rent in your area, as well as the distance from your current location. Check the Scooter’s Condition: Before unlocking a scooter, you can view important information like the battery level, scooter condition, and price. Make sure the scooter is in good working condition. If there’s any damage, you can report it through the app. Unlock the Scooter: When you’ve found a scooter you’d like to ride, tap the Unlock button in the app. The app will prompt you to scan the QR code located on the scooter’s frame to unlock it. Start Your Ride: After unlocking, you can start riding! The app will guide you through the ride duration, showing the time spent, distance covered, and battery usage during your trip. Always ride safely by following local traffic rules, wearing a helmet (if required), and being mindful of pedestrians and other vehicles. Track Ride Information: As you ride, the app will show you important details such as your ride duration, total distance, and the estimated cost of the trip. You can pause your ride if you need to stop temporarily and resume when you're ready. End Your Ride: When you’ve reached your destination, find a safe and legal place to park the scooter. Beam scooters must be parked in designated areas to avoid blocking sidewalks or traffic. To end the ride, tap End Ride in the app. The app will lock the scooter, and your total fare will be calculated. Pay for the Ride: The Beam app automatically calculates the fare based on the duration and distance of your ride. Payment is processed through your linked payment method, such as credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. You can view your payment history in the app for future reference. Leave Feedback: After completing your ride, you can leave a rating or feedback about your experience with the scooter and the app. This helps Beam improve its service and ensures better quality rides for all users. Earn Rewards or Promotions: Beam often offers promotions and discounts for first-time users or regular riders. You may also have the option to refer friends to earn ride credits or other rewards. Check for Scooters in Other Locations: If you're traveling or visiting another area, you can use the Beam app to find available scooters in other cities where the service operates. The app allows you to switch between locations and book scooters in cities that offer Beam Escooter Sharing services.
