Calibration ensures that your readings are as accurate as possible by adjusting the app's microphone sensitivity to match known standards. Measure Sound Levels: To measure sound, simply hold your phone near the source of the noise. Decibel X PRO will start displaying the decibel (dB) level of the sound in real-time. The app displays both the peak (maximum) and average sound levels, allowing you to track fluctuations in noise intensity. Select the Measurement Mode: Decibel X PRO offers several modes for different types of sound measurements, including: Peak: Displays the highest decibel level recorded in the current measurement. Leq: Measures the continuous equivalent level of fluctuating sound over time, offering an average noise level. C-weighted, A-weighted: Adjusts the sound measurement based on different frequency responses (A-weighted is often used for environmental noise measurements). Choose the appropriate mode based on your needs. You can toggle between modes directly from the interface. Analyze Sound Data: Decibel X PRO provides a visual representation of sound levels through graphs, allowing you to see changes in noise intensity over time. The app stores historical data, so you can track long-term trends, such as monitoring noise pollution throughout the day. Use the Real-Time Display: The app features a real-time display that shows live sound level changes. The display may include options to show current dB readings, maximum values, and the dB curve. Depending on the version of the app, you may also have customizable views, such as a frequency analysis graph or a histogram, to provide a more detailed breakdown of sound information. Export Data: For advanced analysis, Decibel X PRO allows you to export your recorded data as CSV files, which can be opened in spreadsheet programs like Excel or Google Sheets.
