Magnetometer is a precise magnetic field meter and metal detector that turns your phone into a real-time sensor toolkit. Measure field strength, find ferrous objects, and check compass interference with a clean, lightweight, offline app built for students, makers, and professionals.
Core features include real-time magnetic field readout in microtesla or gauss with a live graph, a metal detector mode with adjustable sensitivity and vibration or tone alerts, and a built-in compass with calibration guidance to reduce drift. How to use:
1. Install and open Magnetometer, then grant sensor and location permissions if prompted for compass features.
2. Calibrate by moving your phone in a figure eight away from metal objects until the app confirms a stable baseline.
3. Read the real-time magnetic field on the main screen, switch units between microtesla and gauss, and watch the live graph for changes.
4. Tap Metal Detector, adjust sensitivity, and move the phone slowly around the area; follow peaks and alerts to locate magnetic objects.
5. For advanced use, enable logging, set an alert threshold, and export results as a CSV for sharing or analysis.
