MidiPad 2 is a versatile MIDI controller app that turns your phone or tablet into responsive drum pads and a control surface for music production and live performance. Build custom pad grids with colors and labels, trigger drums and samples with low latency, and control instruments and effects with precision. Map MIDI notes, CC, and program changes, save presets, and switch banks to expand your setup in seconds. Connect to desktop DAWs and hardware via Bluetooth MIDI, USB, or Wi Fi for seamless studio and stage control. Perfect for beatmakers, DJs, and producers seeking a portable DAW controller and drum pad for music production and live sets.
How to use:
1. Download and open MidiPad 2, then grant any requested Bluetooth or network permissions if needed.
2. Connect to your computer or hardware by enabling Bluetooth MIDI or Wi Fi MIDI in the app, or plug in via USB.
3. In your DAW, select MidiPad 2 or the corresponding MIDI port as the MIDI input and load a drum rack, sampler, or instrument.
4. Choose a template or create a new pad layout, assign notes or CC with MIDI learn, and adjust velocity curves to match your playing style.
5. Start playing and recording your performance, then save your layout as a preset and switch banks or scenes to control more sounds and parameters live.
